P0-B3: Part 1166: Debugging, Improvements

In addition to fixing a bug with texture painting on non-earthlike planets, I have also been working on several fixes and improvements to the water for earthlike worlds.

There was a long standing bug here which caused the wate to become invisible when the scene lighting was at a particularly high or low angle (such as, for example, sunrise or sunset).

I had to make some changes to the shader to fix this.

I also fixed a bug where the “beach” texture would not show up properly around the coastal areas.

The water still needs a lot of improvement though, it still doesn’t have full support for lighting (It seems to “glow” at night, even when no lights are present) and the transitions between LODS are very obvious (The system uses a texture only at long ranges, and a water shader at close ranges).

Other than that though, the testing and debugging is going well.
