P-172: Unity: Space Environment: Part 13
I have made more progress with unwrapping and texturing the structure that I am working on, although it is taking longer than I had planned.
I have also implemented doors with full animations and collision in Unity. This turned out to be much easier than I thought! Doors were always very difficult in T3D, I had to use a complex system of triggers, collision meshes, and visible meshes. Unity seems to have a very easy to use collision system, as well as a built-in animation toolset, which, although I haven’t used it before, looks extremely powerful.
I can also easily duplicate the doors by just copying and pasting them.
I have not finished modelling or texturing the doors yet, but I have all of the script and collision support done for them. I can drop in the finished models and textures when they are ready.
