P0-P-172: Part 66: Art, Station Texturing
I have finally gotten around to finishing the station exterior textures.
They didn’t come out as well as I had hoped, but I think this has to do with the fact that I am basically mixing textures created using two different techniques. The original textures are created by hand in a graphics package, while the most recent textures are created using Substance painter.
I think the quality of the textures is something that I will need to address in future. I don’t need particularly high resolution graphics, but they do need to be consistent.
I am planning to evaluate the program “Substance designer” from Algorithmic, the same people who made Substance painter. This, and another program of theirs called “Bitmap to material“, should allow me to create more detailed textures and materials than I could before, which I can then apply to models in substance painter.
