P0-MS4: Part 238: Unity 2017.2 Beta evaluation, Preliminary MS4 Work
I am currently using Unity 5.6 for my project, and the current Unity release is 2017.1. I had intended to port to this version, but Unity 2017.2 will be out this month, so I have decided to wait until this version before porting.
I have ported my project to 2017.2 beta 10, and there are no issues. In fact there is one Unity bug that has been fixed in this version that I was having issues with in Unity 5.6. Beta 10 isn’t stable though, so I will continue to use 5.6 until the final release is out.
I cannot work on any major debugging or stress testing until I have ported to Unity 2017.2, since I would just have to redo most of it with the new version. The next goal for the project is to work on improvement to the navigation system, movement system, and Infinite Universe system.
