P0-P-172: Part 50: Hostile Missiles, Gui’s
I have added enemy missiles to the game. They can lock on to and then track the player if they are within range.
The missiles are actually quite smart and can be difficult to evade. I had to reduce their speed and range to make it easier for the player to avoid getting hit.
I am now working on the “countermeasure”, such as Decoys, Signal jamming, etc, that the player can employ to aid in evading missiles. This will all be done from the shuttle’s gui’s.
The html and css that I am using to create the gui’s is taking a while to learn, but I am making progress, and it is definitely worth the effort.
I have also created an external camera and wired its output to a texture using a render texture. I am using this as a simple overhead map.
I have also programmed the AI to follow the player onto the shuttle. I now need to add more pathfinding support so that they can follow the player onto the planet as well.
