P-172: Unity: Space Environment: Part 36
The progress of my model in quixel is not going well.
In addition to trying to figure out how to use the program to it’s full extent, I am also having problem importing the materials into Unity. The materials seem to look completely different in Unity from the way the do in the “3DO” renderer.
I need to come up with a good workflow to allow me to create reasonably good art, and I am hoping Quixel Suite 2 will allow me to do that.
The model is split into several pieces, the main model, and some doors, windows, and wings. These will be animated, so I needed to model them seperately. I also need to add emmissed and transparent textures to some objects.
I have refined my workflow a lot, for example, I am using a single 4K texture for the model instead of several smaller textures, this makes the whole texturing process easier. However, I am still having issues getting decent results.
