P0-MS2: Part 147: City Generator Buildings
I have finally gotten around to replacing the placeholder art in the city generator with real buildings. These are from a free asset called “White City” which is available on the asset store.
There is a lot of work to be done in properly placing these buildings. Currently, there is very little code in place to align the buildings properly to the terrain, and prevent collision between one building and another. I also need to find some way of flattening the ground where the city is to be located, but this may not be possible.
I am not hugely concerned with individual placement of buildings at this point, my main intention was to procedurally place cities on the surface of the planet, and have them load and unload depending on player distance, and this system works extremely well.
