P-168: Phoenix Character Print: Texturing Part 3
My model is finally finished! All of the modelling, unwrapping, and texturing is done.
I have also hollowed out the base, which significantly reduced the cost of the model (from about €82 to about €58) since the volume of material used is less.
The texturing, I think, went well. It could be more detailed, but I think it looks on a par with an “action figure”. I am also not sure how detailed you can really make textures for 3D printing, so it might be better to go with a simpler approach initially, since this is my first full colour print.
I am using several additional programs, including “netfabb” to check and repair the model and prepare it for 3D printing.
The only issue I may still have now is that the wall thickness may not be enough to allow the print to go through.
