P0-B8: Part 1435: Debugging, Improvements
I have done a lot of work on the new starship model.
I had to fix quite a few minor issues with the geometry, but most of the work was in combining different pieces of geometry together for unwrapping and texturing purposes, as well as removing unneeded elements, and refining the model slightly.
I will spend some time experimenting with the different texture options to find something that I think works the best.
Any object that needs to be animated will need to be grouped first, for texturing, and then ungrouped later. This will keep the number of unique textures small.
P0-B8: Part 1434: Debugging, Improvements
One of the few remaining issues that need to be done before I can release the project is to replace the main capitial ship model with a more up-to-date one.
I have mostly finished the geometry of the new ship model, both interior, exterior, and the detail work.
I am now working on preparing the model for unwrapping, texturing, and importing into unity.
P0-B8: Part 1432: New Quests, New Content
I have tested most of the new features that I added, and everything is working well.
There were a few minor issues, but these were fixed quickly, and I have made some improvements.
I have also made some improvements to the procedural story system which should be useful for the future.
There are still some minor issues with rotation of player control objects that I am working on.



P0-B8: Part 1429: New Quests, New Content
The issues with the floating origin system are basically done!
The main issue was much simpler than I thought, and had nothing to do with the core mechanics.
I have also fixed some minor issues, mainly with syncing the positions and rotations of all persistent objects to the server properly.
The additional features needed to power the new quest system are now basically done.



P0-B8: Part 1428: New Quests, New Content
I am still working on the concept for the new quest.
There are several issues that I am running into with the floating origin system, however I am confident that the core mechanics of the project work fine.
The issues are just with the fact that I am using the system in new and different ways with the new quest.
Solving this will allow players to travel between star system without needing a capital ship, etc, which will open up new options for exploration, etc.
P0-B8: Part 1427: New Quests, New Content
The concept for the new quest is mostly done, with the exception of some bugs.
There are some issues with the floating origin system, as well as some issues with arbitrary rotation of control objects.
These are hopefully not too severe, and I can work on them later.
There are also some issues with persistence when saving/loading the game.
