I have completed most of the debugging that I wanted to do for the moment.
The next goal is to add some support functions and features that I will need for the story elements of the project.
I intend to add a simple tutorial and introduction to the project, which will form the basis for the more complex stories that I will add later.
This will also allow me to develop and test the storytelling features within the project.

It will be at least 4-8 months before I am ready to launch the project (and even that will be early access) but I am making progress.
I have improved the tactical systems in the game to allow the player to select a warhead type for their missiles before firing.
I have also added a “long range” missile that can engage targets that are much further away, and much faster, than the standard missiles.
In future, I intend to add many more different missile and weapon types.
The next logical step would be to add a way to load the ships magazine with a variety of missile types, depending on the players preferences.
Currently, only the number of missiles is stored, not the type.
However, this type of “resource management” element may need to be postponed for now, in favour of more testing and debugging.
For the first tasks in B3, I have been working on improving the space combat code.
There is a lot to be done here, this code has not been refactored in some time.
So far, the testing is going well however, and there have only been minor issues.
I will likely add some small improvements to the space combat code, but I will postpone any larger improvements for now.
