{"id":9958,"date":"2023-12-10T20:01:40","date_gmt":"2023-12-10T20:01:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/phoenixgamedevelopment.com\/blog\/?p=9958"},"modified":"2023-12-10T20:01:40","modified_gmt":"2023-12-10T20:01:40","slug":"p0-b6-part-1344-debugging-improvements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/phoenixgamedevelopment.com\/blog\/p0-b6-part-1344-debugging-improvements\/","title":{"rendered":"P0-B6: Part 1344: Debugging, Improvements"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The basic concept for changing zones using jumpgates is now working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I added a gui and support code to allow the user to select a zone, and travel to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also needed to fix several bugs with the graphical effects for ftl transition, as well as other minor bugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system is now working very well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only issue now though is that if the player has a capital ship and travels by shuttle to a different zone anyway, the capital ship will travel with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is because only one zone position is currently stored, and this is used for the zone position of the current control object. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will need to add a separate zone position for the players capital ship later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The basic concept for changing zones using jumpgates is now working.
