The first goal of this is add a more complex autopilot system for the capital ships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, when engaging the autopilot within star systems, the player moves instantly. I want to add the ability for the AI to automatically pilot the ship toward the specified position gradually, without overshooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have also added the ability for the player to cancel a long FTL trip, which will cause them to drop out of FTL in the star system that they should be in, based on how long they have been travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The next step for my main project is to improve the space sim elements.
