{"id":10915,"date":"2025-03-30T09:34:44","date_gmt":"2025-03-30T08:34:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/phoenixgamedevelopment.com\/blog\/?p=10915"},"modified":"2025-06-05T15:06:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-05T14:06:16","slug":"spiritus-astrum-p0-b10-p1490-towards-early-access","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/phoenixgamedevelopment.com\/blog\/spiritus-astrum-p0-b10-p1490-towards-early-access\/","title":{"rendered":"Spiritus Astrum [P0-B10]: p1490: Towards Early Access"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I have now finished 7 of the 10 or so missions that will be in the third campaign in Spiritus Astrum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am still working with simple programmer art, and I have not added all of the story triggers, etc, etc, but I am making good progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have made improvements to the NPC&#8217;s and AI in the campaign missions to hopefully add some more depth to the story and gameplay, as well as fixed some bugs, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was concerned about the AI navgrids, etc, since I spent a lot of time adding my own custom extensions to the A* pathfinding project (Designed to work better for non y-up, dynamic worlds), but they actually work fine. There is one minor issue where a graph will not generate properly if another graph is being created at the same time, but this is not serious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have also improved the story logic slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next goal is to try to finish all of the missions with the next few weeks.
