P0-A2: Part 499: 2018.3 Port

I have decided to port to 2018.3 now, before moving on to the next major phase of the project.
The port went quite well, but there is one issue which I have not quite solved.
After the 2018.3 port, when the player moves the ship, the player avatar becomes stuck and can’t move.
I have narrowed down this issue to a problem with the spherecast that was checking for a ground collision. Disabling this code avoids the problem, but I still can’t figure out why this happens.
I suspect that this is related to the fact that Unity have updated the PhysX version in the latest release of the engine.
