P0-A10: Part 908: RBAR, RAM Overclock

After installing the new F33 BIOS for my motherboard (Aorus Xtreme) I have managed to get Resizeable bar working on my 3090, and I have managed to Over clock my RAM from 2666 to 3200.

This is a substantial increase, but I was hoping to get to 3400 or 3600. With more effort, I may be able to improve this in the future.

Given that I have 128GBs of RAM, getting 3200 MHZ is actually not at all bad, but I think I should be able to hit 3400 with some increased voltage, I am just concerned about system instability.

For resizeable bar, I needed to use NVFlash, and NOT the Asus’s graphs card utility. The Asus utility, in actual fact, failed, and resulted in a corrupt VBIOS. I needed to set my card to the backup BIOS (Q-Mode) and then use NVFlash to flash to repair the main BIOS.

NVFlash worked fine, even though I was flashing the exact same BIOS image that the Asus App was using. It seems that even though NVFlash is a command line program, and is therefore a little more difficult to use, it is a lot more reliable.

So far I haven’t done a lot of performance testing, but there doesn’t seem to be a huge performance difference.
