P0-A8: Part 794: Improvements

I have now added space stations that occasionally appear within the world. The purpose of these is to allow the player to sell gathered materials, and purchase additonal resources or fuel.

I have also made improvements to the faction system. I am using perlin noise to determine which star systems belong to which faction, which works, but the problem is that the factions appear to be mixed together, instead of in discrete areas with boundaries. I intend to improve this later.

I have been looking into concept like voronoi diagrams, etc, but the problem with these is that they require knowledge of all of the coordinates to work properly, and in a procedural game like mine, this would not be possible.
