P0-A6: Part 702: Inventory System

I have started work on a new, immersive, inventory system for this project.

I am currently working with only sample objects, but it seems to be going well.

I am attaching all inventory items to the player as separate objects in the world, and the player can select, move, drop, and interact with them by clicking on them individually.

This is similiar to how the fifth Alone in the Dark game worked. There are limitations to this system, mainly regarding the amount of items that the player will be able to carry, and their size, but for a realistic virtual world game, this concept should work.

It doesn’t make sense for a player to be able to carry dozens of heavy items, a more realistic system would be more immersive, and would still allow the player to carry sufficient items for the game to work.
