The Ocean feature is now basically done.

I added an LOD system to switch from the high-detail water shader to a simple texture based on the player distance, and I added some more tweaks to the shoreline texture, and lighting, refractions, etc.

There are a few issues still, mainly the fact that the water transition at the shoreline is quite jarring, there is no smoothing or blending. This is where I wanted to add in the foam effect, to smooth this transition.

Also, similarly, at long range, the basic water texture that I am displaying doesn’t blend with the shoreline texture, leading to a slightly jarring transition, but this, at least, should be easy to fix.
