P0-A1: Part 390: Orbital Mechanics

I have decided to spend some more time working on the integration of the orbital mechanics system.

This time, I am trying to create an “Orbit Predictor”, which will display the current orbit of the ship that the player is controlling in real time, and update as the player fires their engine.

I have made some progress with this, but I am having some issues. The main issues stem from the fact that my system is dynamic, I am adding planets, etc, after the game starts, depending on where the player is travelling to.

The other issue is that I need to create a worldspace gui for the system that is syncronised accurately to the world space positions of the planets.

Currently, I am creating a second physics system which is a scaled down version of the main one, but I can’t seem to sync it’s position values properly.
