I have finished the modelling of the “living quarters” section of the ship that I am working on, and I have created a set of Colour-ID maps and UV maps for it.

I have also begun the texturing process. So far, it has been going reasonably well, but with the added complexity, the texture density of the UV maps has decreased, which is causing a decrease on quality. I may need to switch to 4K textures, or split the objects up into smaller pieces.

I have also discovered a program called “Unfold 3D” that seems to be an automated unwrapping tool. This could dramatically speed up my workflow, since UV-mapping is a long and complex process.
